Challenger TAFE and ACTIV have had a long history of collaboration.

The proximity of our colleges to two ACTIV sites in Rockingham and Beaconsfield saw a relationship emerge between the Employment Training Officers and Challenger staff for over a decade.

Students exiting Challenger TAFE programs are referred as potential employees for ACTIV and current ACTIV employees access Challenger TAFE as part of their work training release. Training delivery is designed to prepare individuals for the world of work or address skills that would help them to maintain employment.

Ongoing dialogue has given rise to several customized training programs. Program delivery has been modified to be delivered in the workplace in order to increase accessibility of training opportunities to more individuals and to minimize losses in productivity.

Programs have included Certificate I in Manufacturing Pathways, both the Timber and Textiles Streams of Certificate 1 Wider Opportunities of Work, Transport and Distribution, Warehousing and Distribution.

More recently ACTIV has successfully delivered registered training, through the certificate 1 Leadership at their ACTIV Victoria Park and Osborne Park sites. Challenger TAFE will continue to provide support in the form of Auspicing and involvement on their steering Committee.

It is anticipated that this long and productive relationship will continue to develop and evolve across more ACTIV delivery sites. Challenger TAFE will continue to support and endorse the Quality training and employment prospects that ACTIV provides
